The University of Gondar is offering 160 graduate scholarships through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, starting in 2023. Application deadline: May 31, 2023.
These scholarships are available to applicants from South Sudan, Somalia, Djibouti, and Eritrea (including Eritrean migrants in Ethiopia) and will be undertaken in Ethiopia.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Gondar aims to support students with disabilities by providing scholarships for undergraduate and master’s degree programs. However, for the 2023/24 academic session, only the graduate scholarship program is open for applications.
The Graduate Scholars Program is designed to equip scholars with transformative and leadership skills, as well as enhance their professional and scholarly competencies. Scholars are encouraged to make a positive impact on local, national, regional, and global socioeconomic development trends.
This particular scholarship is available for international applicants who have obtained their bachelor’s degree within the past five years in the eligible countries mentioned above, and who plan to pursue full-time graduate studies in the fields of physiotherapy, nursing, sociology, psychology, or law at the University of Gondar.
The selection of scholarship recipients will be based on academic merit, leadership potential, socioeconomic need, and, if applicable, disability for male applicants.
The scholarship provides comprehensive coverage, including tuition fees, accommodation/boarding, a stipend, and additional program-related expenses.
